"Positive Thinking"
THE ESSENTIAL FOR HEALING FROM DISEASES ...
The main aims of primitive man were to carry a few essential needs: to feed, protect, fulfill their physiological needs. So his existence and his well-being were affected or not by simply being able to
ensure compliance with these requirements. The next evolution certainly has gradually improved the conditions of human life, but also, in fact, multiplied out of all proportion to the needs to be met, forcing him to concentrate on them all his attention and increasingly further away from achieving that sense of accomplishment, the bearer of serenity and inner well-being. This is not to say that it would be desirable to return to the past, as well as utopian would be counterproductive, but that our efforts should be directed more towards the appreciation and willingness to enjoy what we have, trying yes, always, to improve, but at the same time also to enjoy the small pleasures daily (the embrace of your son, your mother's kiss, the smile of a friend, etc..). The attitude to appreciate these little things and see the bright side even in
more adversity lies the secret of the joy of living; in two words we can say that our peace and our prosperity depend on our ability to "think positive." More often than not we see how the attitude toward what we
happens, even modest misfortune, can affect our lives. An example, trivial but significant: a person leaves home in the morning to go to work, a little 'out of breath because late, down the stairs puts a foot wrong and falls to the ground, but without consequences. At this event the person may react by thinking in two opposite ways: "What luck, I could break my neck and on the other hand I have not done anything, today is a great day!" or, "Behold, I fell, the day begins just bad, who knows what will happen to me." Without even realizing it, our brain will record our reaction affecting the entire body and future events; but we try to understand the "mechanisms".
THE BRAIN AND ITS ROLE IN DISEASE
We can compare the human brain to a computer, which receives information, processes it, and sends the files to other centers appropriate orders. The gray matter or neocortex is composed of more than 15 billion nerve cells (neurons) with huge capacity. And 'in fact
thanks to them that we are able to move, communicate and store thousands of information to be used when needed. In turn, the neocortex is divided into two hemispheres: left and right. The right hemisphere controls the emotional and affective information allowing a global view of situations; is associated with intuition and corresponds to our side ricettivofemminile. Governs the left part of the body. The left hemisphere
governs the rational functions (read, speak, think), so it is connected with logical thinking and corresponds to our masculine side. Governs the right side of the body. The two hemispheres are joined by the corpus callosum, which allows them to move information. In women, the corpus callosum is more "often" in humans, then the richest of connections, this would explain the increased susceptibility to "see" the situations in a more comprehensive considering also the emotional aspects and not the purely rational as it happens
instead for the man. Anatomically below the neocortex, in the inner part of the skull, is the limbic brain or mammal, also called the "emotional brain". The limbic brain operates at all levels of information processing.
Initially, the entry of information, as it filters must be forwarded directly to the gray matter or that requires immediate action. At the time of the act provides motivation for action and stores, the so-called "emotional memory", the conclusion reached by the gray matter compared with action implementation. This conclusion will be stored as pleasant, and repeatable, or objectionable, and should be avoided. At this point comes into play a further element, which is indispensable for the logic, and that is the structure
able to act on the activity of the organs as a consequence of the orders received from the neocortex and the limbic brain: the hypothalamus. It is a nerve center, located between the two hemispheres of the brain, in order to govern the vegetative nervous system and endocrine (thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, pituitary glands and genitals). The vegetative nervous system in
turn, for the performance of its functions, uses two major circuits: the sympathetic and the parasympathetic. The first stimulates all that is biologically made to keep us awake and fighting potential, while the latter stimulates the functions of our rest and recuperation. According, then, to the commands received, the hypothalamus controls the two systems with the possibility of pre-eminence to one of them; with predominance of sympathetic symptoms may be: insomnia, weight loss, loss of appetite, increased blood pressure, nervousness; vice versa with the predominance of the parasympathetic nervous system will tune to a frequency more suitable for recovery: fatigue, lack of energy, increased need for food. Ultimately, the hypothalamus has an executive function: does not analyze, does not reflect whether the order is favorable or not, is content to run it, but it has a feature with consequences that reverberate throughout the body. It 'just that aspect that we can capitalize on our behalf; provide positive signals to the hypothalamus can help us to quickly resolve the disease. A very significant experiment demonstrates precisely this possibility: the arm of a person in a state of hypnosis is a coin resting at room temperature, however, suggesting that it was a hot coin. Within a few minutes before the blush appeared on her arm and then the classic bubble from sunburn at the coin. In this case, the suggestion, that has not been filtered by the limbic brain, the neocortex inform that a coin has been resting on the hot arm triggering a series of physiological reactions cascade that induce the hypothalamus to react by activating inflammatory processes. Therefore, for better or for worse, everything that is processed by the neocortex, thoughts, beliefs and emotions, through the hypothalamus, affecting the functioning of the entire body. Why not take advantage of our health in favor of this extraordinary mechanism?
CONSCIOUS, UNCONSCIOUS AND SUBCONSCIOUS
Among all the kingdoms of nature, the human being is the only being able to be self-conscious and then to claim this right: being conscious. Thanks to it we can know "our" reality and think about it; say "our" because this is actually since it is conditional and limited to the perception of our senses. The senses allow us to become aware of only a small part of the universe; more we expand the field of knowledge, the more we can act to positively transform our world, firmly holding the reins of our lives. Our reality is something we create ourselves every moment with thoughts on what we tune with the words we speak and the choices we make. The difference between staying at the helm of his instrument, the brain, or be under his command, is the choice to be programmed or the programmer's own existence. The latter will have to be very careful on what they "let in" sensory through the doors, so as not to adversely affect the unconscious and the subconscious. The unconscious corresponds to what is unconscious and takes place in our
knowledge; what was forgotten although still practiced. Most of our reactions are unconscious and are in relationship with one or more memories nested in our emotional memory. We can say that the unconscious is the automatic position of the brain, which appeals to the limbic brain and hypothalamus. The majority of human beings thinks, speaks and acts in an automatic and is not aware of the extent of their own thoughts and words. The subconscious is instead the performer. It does not reflect, but obeys; a sort of servant incredibly powerful, but lacking in discernment. It includes simple messages, images, precise directives; appeals to the hypothalamus, but not only. The subconscious mind has the ability to connect the entire system that governs all brain activity to manifest in our world order he received. Just as the unconscious, the subconscious works automatically, but can receive orders from both the conscious and the unconscious. The main difference between the unconscious and the subconscious is that the former can be awakened and become conscious, but what they have in common and that is a huge opportunity for us to grasp is that both are unable to distinguish between a real image and an image imaginary and, therefore, in both cases it is perceived as real by the brain, the nervous system and the body in general. For example dreaming (unconscious state) that someone rincorra to kill us feel the sensation of fear, there your heart will beat strong and it will have repercussions throughout the body. From all this it is clear that we have the ability to re-programming with in order to prepare the body to overcome the disease states. This is possible thanks to positive thinking.
POSITIVE THINKING
The education that we received and the experiences we have lived were recorded in our emotional memory, nestled on a subconscious level. If as a result of a negative experience we planned the equation "= love suffer," we will have a lot of fear in love; maybe we will love, but we will not be in a position to live it fully maybe causing the end of the report before it wounds. If we program the unconscious "have more than others = injustice," on the one hand we desire to have beautiful things and be successful, but it will attract the circumstances that shatter these beautiful things or to sabotage our chances of success. These schedules affect first of all on our own thoughts, which in turn affect our existence. E 'was calculated that on average 70% of our thoughts are negative; we are therefore mostly in an automatic function unfavorable. Unfortunately, we do not realize that these thoughts influence us to the point of putting in place the negativity. Destiny is an automatic function that takes over when we give up hold the reins of our lives; we take the lead and we will see that our lives will be transformed for the better, both for our health that our happiness. But how to switch this automatic unfavorable to favorable auto function? First we need to return to the manual mode, which is to pay attention to the words we speak, but especially in certain habitual expressions such as "I find it hard to ..." or "I can not ...". Such expressions end up creating us really generate situations of fatigue and failure. Back to the manual function is to be careful about these expressions prepackaged in canceling these schedules saying "cancel" and substituting "I struggle" with "I know a little 'less easy'; "Are weak ..." with "... my getting better"; "Do not ever go out" with "I do not know how, but it will go out," and so on. What matters is the image formed by the word that I use: when the new word or phrase, favorable, it becomes a habit, I let it become automatic. So in a way favorable to use our computer brain:
- We will pay attention to the words and expressions that we use;
- Cancel those which may have a negative impact;
- We will try to replace them with pleasing words or expressions.
We will also take the habit of using expressions such as magnificent, extraordinary, fantastic, I'm getting in better shape, I'm getting better, and so on. Formulas as "more" and "better and better" are in favor and help us to believe in what we say, as well as to influence our subconscious. A sick person may have a hard time believing you're okay, but if you accept the idea of "getting better", this means "a little 'better than yesterday." And 'therefore a formula easier to record. The subconscious repeating this order will ensure that there is actually predisposes to an improvement, and the encouraging result will allow us to believe that we can finally say: "I'm fine."
